For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. JOHN 3:16-17

Yep, I have lived in hot, humid S.E. Texas most of my life, and I can’t say I look forward to those sizzling summer temps that are nearly upon us. Pretty soon it will be hotter than Hades. But, I can handle the heat a lot better than I can the cold.

Oh, I am dreading August. Not only will it be 100 degrees, but stepping out the front door will feel like getting slapped in the face with a wet blanket. Then it wraps around you and won’t let go. Till that one week in January. *sigh*

@SingingMom – Yes, I did! Sorry to be so slow to respond … it was the only day my sister could have my niece’s 11th birthday, but it still was very nice because I was with family. Earlier that morning the men at our church prepared a lovely Mother’s Day breakfast for all of us. They were so cute because they all wore aprons and pink visors and served us our breakfasts, refilled our coffee cups … really, really sweet. We’re going to have to cook up something extra special for Father’s Day!
